Audio Visual Sales Engineer                                         

In one way or another, everything I’ve done has been about communication. As an Audio Visual Sales Engineer, it was my job to ensure that my clients could communicate with their clients, employees, and partners. From digital signage to large-scale video walls, I worked closely with engineers and programmers to design tailored solutions that fit both technical requirements and budget constraints. It was a lot of fun to watch a project take shape, from a bare-bones building to a fully functional space with the newest technology and proper training in place.

I thrive in high-pressure, back-against-the-wall situations. This job had a lot of them. It entailed early morning, late nights, long hours, and weekends. It meant solving last minute issues, no matter what it took, because “the show must go on.” It allowed me to use my technical skills, creativity, and sales acumen to bring a client’s vision to life. I’m a lifelong learner. I’ve always been like that, with a voracious appetite for books, classes, podcasts, and anything else I can get my hands (or eyes or ears) on. Learning isn’t just about acquiring new information or memorizing facts and figures. It’s about challenging our preconceptions, enhancing our perspectives, and changing how we think and act. One area this is especially true is technology. It evolves at a rate that’s picking up speed, and if you aren’t constantly learning and adapting, then you’re going to fall behind very quickly. Because of this, I have always had to know about the latest technologies, ideas, and innovations. As I shift my career to cybersecurity, I’m taking this to a new personal level.
